Special Year of Astronomy Unveiling Ceremony

Description:

Beaver Creek Reserve and Hobbs Observatory have been chosen by the Space Telescope Science Institute to be one of the sites for the national unveiling ceremony and display of a new multi-wavelength image. Jim Fitzl will speak on Galileo and the 2009 IYA. After the talk we will have an image unveiling ceremony. To celebrate, NASA's Great Observatories are collaborating to produce a spectacular multi-wavelength view of the spiral galaxy Messier 101.
