Rod and Gun Park in Eau Claire is one of the most unique community parks in the City. While Rod and Gun is a relatively small park at 36 acres, it is one of the most visited.
Rod and Gun Park is a 36-acre community park located on Eau Claire’s west side and northwest of Carson Park on the shores of Half Moon Lake, with access off Clairemont Avenue. The park is adjacent to Carson Park, Eau Claire’s largest and most used Community Park. Both Rod and Gun Park and Carson Park share the shoreline of a 136-acre oxbow lake called Half Moon Lake.

The park has a perched water table that produces surface springs that saturate some of the soils outside of the ponds and streams. The park is a local favorite and is used for picnics, weddings and group gatherings.
