Beaver Creek Reserve
Beaver Creek Reserve in Fall Creek, WITen miles west of Eau Claire, the Beaver Creek Reserve encompasses 360 acres of diverse habitats and includes three different facilities: The Eau Claire County Youth Camp, the Wise Nature Center and the Hobbs Observatory. Over five miles of scenic trails give visitors an opportunity to catch a glimpse of some of the Reserve's inhabitants, plant and animal species including deer, bear, beaver, wild turkey, golden-winged warblers, tufted titmice, five-lined skinks, fox snakes, wood turtles, lady slippers or jack-in-the-pulpits, carrion flowers, and many more.

Self-guided interpretive trails, wildlife photography blinds, butterfly gardens, feeding stations and boardwalks are designed to enhance your outdoor experience and learn about the rich natural diversity of Wisconsin's Chippewa Valley including a nature center, butterfly house, observatory, youth camp, nature store, citizenButterfly gardens at Beaver Creek Reserve science center, field research station, charter science research school and foster a lifetime commitment to the protection of our fragile planet Earth. The center contains a discovery room with hands-on learning stations, interpretive displays of local fauna and flora, live animal exhibits, an auditorium, classrooms, resource library, laboratory, and a gift shop.

Trails are groomed for hiking, skiing and snowshoeing during the winter season. Rentals are available. The Wise Nature Center contains hands on exhibits and displays on the local flora and fauna. Nature programs are offered by the interpretive staff throughout the year. The gift shop contains many unique nature items. The Hobbs Observatory provides opportunities for the public to view the nighttime sky on Saturday evenings throughout the year or at other times by special arrangement.

Also offers hiking/nature trails, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, workshops and a gift shop.

Location and direction:

At the confluence of Beaver Creek and the Eau Claire River, the Reserve is located in pine-oak barrens at the western edge of Central Wisconsin’s unique Sand Counties. The Reserve is about 15 minutes east of Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
Five miles north of Fall Creek, Wisconsin, on County Hwy. K (12 miles east of Eau Claire).
