Harstad Park is on the Eau Claire River, has camping and picnic facilities, and the scenic Big Falls Park is a favorite swimming spot. Harstad County Park and Campground is for those who enjoy the quietness of nature, with no electricity or running water. The park offers facilities to accommodate the family or large group gatherings including a large reservable open shelter and ball field. Because of its access to the Eau Claire River, fishing and canoeing are favorite pastimes for many park visitors
If you are planning to canoe, call ahead to be sure that the river is high enough. A person comes to the campground once a day for about 30 minutes to sell firewood, so if you're not around, you don't get any firewood
The campground is for use by registered campers and their guests. The campground includes 27 campsites. You may have picnicking, picnic shelter, canoeing, water skiing, fishing, ball diamond, volleyball court, picnic tables, playground, drinking water, grills, pit toilets, fishing pier, anglers fish from the bank and the canoe landing.
