Eau Claire County ski trials
There are over 30 miles of groomed cross country ski trails along the rivers and woodlands of Eau Claire county. Trails are groomed for both skate and classic skiing and varied terrain makes it possible for skiers of all skill levels to enjoy these trails.

All trails on county forestland, except snowmobile trails, are open for cross-country skiing.  Cross-country skiing on groomed snowmobile trails is not permitted due to safety concerns.

Evergreen Ski Trail

West of the entrance to the Coon Fork Campground off CTH "CF." 2.2 miles in length and its free.
Evergreen Ski Trail is located on county forestland near the Coon Fork campground entrance off CTH CF.  This 2.2 mile trail has long rolling hills and is suited best for the intermediate to advanced skier. Trails are all wooded, groomed, and tracked for both skating and striding.

Direction:

On Hwy CF, 25 miles east of E.C. and east of Augusta, along Coon Fork Creek, 2.2 mile expert trail.

Lowes Creek Park

At Lowes Creek you will find a variety of trails for every level of rider, from beginner to advanced.  The trails include approximately 5 miles of the double-track cross country ski system and over 6 miles of technical/challenging narrow single track.  The single track trails take the rider to all four corners of the park by winding through pine tree forests, crossing creek beds, and cruising along ridge lines.

Located off S. Lowes Creek Road. 4.9 miles in length. Picnicking, picnic shelter, fishing, drinking water, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, mountain bike trail, pit toilets and fitness trail.
