The beautiful City of Osseo is an indispensable destination for tourists visiting Trempealeau County. Just minutes from Eau Claire, Osseo is within easy geographic reach of small towns and big cities alike. Annual four days Lake Martha Days festival, celebrating Osseo's Scandinavian heritage, is held each year on the third weekend in June. The carnival starts Friday evening and continues through Sunday. There are ethnic food stands, crafts, music, and many events all weekend. Sunday the Grand Parade winds its way through downtown at 12:30pm and is always a very special Father's Day event. Food, Fun and games are everywhere. On Sunday, a parade in the afternoon caps off the event. The city had the first Rod and Gun Club in the county; and the name "Rod and Gun Club" was instituted by Jack Crow, who, with four other individuals, began the club in 1890. The club is still active today and has a membership of about 100. "Before You Go" is a tribute and "thank you" for their bravery, gallantry and sacrifices that assure the continued enjoyment of freedoms unprecedented in the history of mankind. Osseo celebrates Lake Martha Days named after the lake that goes through their town, Eau Claire has Sawdust City Days because of the early lumbering industry that was there, and Augusta has Bean and Bacon Days because Bushes Beans processes beans there. On Memorial Day, the American Legion and VFW conduct a cemetery service following the parade at Thompson Valley through downtown Osseo. Believing that Osseo sits in a perfect place with great snowmobiling in any direction, the Osseo Sno-Drifters encourage snowmobilers to enjoy our lovely area of northern Trempealeau County. Get out in any direction from Osseo, and enjoy some great snowmobiling, horsepulling race, Family Music & Comedy show etc. The Miss Osseo Pageant has been a long-standing tradition in Osseo for 41 years! Each year a new group of talented young people ages 16 thru 18 have been The Osseo Area Community Theatre, Inc (OACT), was founded in 2004 with the purpose to foster, promote and increase the public knowledge and appreciation of the theatrical arts through the production of theatrical plays and a thorough education regarding the theatrical arts. Lovely Lake Martha, bordered on the south by Stoddard Park; Osseo's Central Park off U.S. 53 on the south side of the city is the perfect place to fish, cool off on a hot summer day or canoe. Osseo can be seen at its best during the annual "Lake Martha Days" celebration, which is held the third weekend in June or at the annual Christmas Parade on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Central Park and downtown Osseo become a lively gathering place for community during both events and all are welcome to join us.
