Explore the logging and sandstone quarry history of the Red Cedar Valley including a rare up and down saw, blacksmith shop, muzzle-loading bunks, Dead Man’s Corner, and village jail. Logging exhibits tell the story of Knapp, Stout & Co, once the largest lumber operation in the world. Quarry exhibit features examples of Dunnville sandstone and a video chronicling the area’s quarry history. Open Memorial Day through Labor Day, Saturday & Sunday noon to 5 PM.

The Empire in Pine Museum earned the State Historical Society's "Distinguished Service" award in 1982, and was extensively updated in 2004. The award winning display exhibits the rich logging and sandstone quarry history of the Red Cedar Valley. The exhibit includes:
