In 2008 CCUSA launched its paper, Poverty and Racism: Overlapping Threats to the Common Good on the national holiday to honor the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Detroit, Michigan. This year CCUSA launches on the national King holiday its new Web site, E Pluribus Unum (Latin for “out of many, one”).

Our national conversation promotes the value of the Common Good in a society of diversity.  President Barack Obama in his famous campaign speech dealing with racism call us all to have faith in God and faith in the American people that we can overcome centuries of racial division “to form a more perfect union” – in the words of the Declaration of Independence
